A recent trend is to prefer the smooth texture of thin fabrics over thicker ones, even in winter. In particular, when it comes to cotton haori, thin fabrics are lighter and more comfortable to wear, and give a clean, elegant look. Unlike coats, haori do not need to be taken off indoors, so there is no problem. This haori (SLANT) also has alternating diagonal stripes of different thicknesses, and the thinner parts are slightly see-through. This variation in weave is the key to its comfort and design. A simple, plain long haori goes with any kimono and can be enjoyed for a long season, so we recommend it.
